GIRLS GONE WELLNESS
A no-BS wellness podcast for women who demand more.
Hosted by two Naturopathic Medical school graduates Jeanette & Vic, GGW was born out of pure necessity and a simple idea: wellness should be smart, sexy, and anything but boring. The online wellness space is crowded by so called ‘experts’ who push fear and misinformation regarding important health concerns and we saw an opportunity to change the conversation.
But here’s the thing: we didn’t want another dry, boring health podcast. We wanted wellness that felt hot, fun, and sexy, without losing the science. GGW brings you real experts who aren’t afraid to call out the BS, share what actually works, and give women the clarity they’ve been craving. With over 8 years of science + medical training and a sharp eye for science, we cut through the chaos to help you figure out what’s worth your time, your money, and your energy. Welcome to GGW!

With a deep passion for dermatology and aesthetics, I have spent 8+ years studying the science of the human body to help women feel confident in their lives. My background in neuroscience + naturopathic medicine has shaped my unique lens on health and wellness which prioritizes confidence, clarity, and sustainable results.
As someone who has PCOS, my skin + acne has always been something I’ve struggled with and I truly know how much it can affect your perception of yourself and your mental wellbeing. I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, and when I found naturopathic medicine, I knew it was the perfect fit. The amount of time you could spend with patients, the empathy in that time you could provide, and the amount of treatments you could offer to patients was super empowering to me, and I knew this model of care could do more for those who struggled with their skin like I did (and still do!) It wasn’t until I started studying naturopathic medicine when I realized how much misinformation + disinformation surrounds the profession, the online space, and wellness in general. This need to share what evidence based medicine really is (and is not) is what inspired GGW!
I truly believe wellness is more than morning routines and supplements. It’s about helping women feel powerful and at home in their own skin. I believe that the path to true health isn’t about restriction or chasing trends, but about equipping women with the knowledge to take charge of their bodies and lives. As I work toward opening my own clinical practice focusing on integrative dermatology and aesthetic medicine, I am on a mission to redefine what healthcare means for women. For myself, it’s not just about treating conditions. It’s about giving women the tools, knowledge, and confidence to approach their health.
Education wise, I obtained my honours bachelor of science from the University of Toronto with a major in neuroscience + double minor in human physiology and immunology. I also received my Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2025, and I am currently studying for board exams to become fully licensed as a Naturopathic Doctor.
Some of my favourite things: an iced vanilla latte, golden retrievers, the mountains, a good outfit, and new skincare products

After years of struggling with a thyroid condition and weight challenges, I discovered how powerful diet, lifestyle, and integrative medicine can be in transforming health. Healing my own body with both naturopathic and conventional care is what inspired me to pursue medicine and help women cut through the wellness noise to find real, sustainable solutions.
I didn’t start out in medicine. My first degree was in Communication Studies with plans for a career in PR. But being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition in my second year of university changed everything. I returned for a fifth year to complete the science prerequisites that led me to naturopathic medical school at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Nine years of post-secondary later, I’m finishing my final licensing exams and excited to begin supporting women in their health journeys.
My clinical passions are weight management and thyroid health, with a love for all things endocrinology. Having grown up obese, and later experiencing disordered eating, I know how important it is to approach health goals in a safe and sustainable way. For me, it’s not just about looking and feeling better, it’s about improving long-term health, reducing disease risk, and extending both lifespan and healthspan. The quality of your years matters just as much as the number of them.
Some of my favorite things: coffee (hot or iced, always in hand), strength training, shopping, long walks, anything pink, and being the girliest girl, though you’ll also find me on a mountain hike or lifting heavy at the gym.
At the end of the day, wellness shouldn’t be about restriction or fear, it should feel empowering, sustainable, and a little bit fun.
